Our Mission
We are passionate about the children at West Colonial Hills knowing God in a personal and real way. We teach them that God’s Word is perfect, true and dependable. We want every child to come to the understanding of their sin and need for a Savior as soon as possible and provide them with opportunities to respond to Christ’s offer of salvation in our classes. We have a high emphasis on scripture memory and understanding. Our classes are taught in a way that intends to bring the Bible to each child in an age appropriate way, so that they can know God better and share their faith with others. We teach about the importance of missions to our little ones and we learn to pray for the world together in our children’s classes. At West Colonial Hills we want every individual to Know Christ and make Him Known, and we believe that even the youngest children are worthy of biblically based lessons that show them who Christ is and how to follow him. We invite all families to join us as we walk together towards Christ.
We use a sticker system for all our little ones age babies to 3rd Grade. We do check in 4/5th grade but they currently aren’t getting a sticker. All our teachers are background checked and have gone through sexual abuse awareness training provided by MINISTRYSAFE.
For lifegroup hour we use Lifeway curriculum and for children’s church we use Answers in Genesis curriculum.
For the months of January and February we will have 2 services due to UPWARD basketball taking place in our GYM. We will offer 2 identical services at 9 and 10:30 and the kids services will be for the exact same times.
